Though there was more severe weather risk to our west in New Mexico yet again, our trip was coming to a close and we couldn’t afford another trek westward – that would put us too far away from home. So instead, we visited the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma!
Let me quickly say that this place was SO MUCH nicer than the ENR!
Above is THE SPC. Four meteorologists run the severe weather forecasts for the entire lower 48. If you want power, become a meteorologist at the SPC!
Rutgers Alumnus Jacob Carlin met up with us as well (since he’s a PhD candidate at OU) and grabbed dinner with us later on.
Although we didn’t chase on our last chase day, we definitely learned a lot about the SPC and the NWC!
